This trip was run, as advertised for 2012, for the first time in October 2011. We enjoyed sightings where we actually photographed the dogs on FIVE occasions. We had three sessions with the pack of 28 including two of over 2 hours each with many dogs only 5 metres away, plus two sessions with the pack of 15.
The first of these was while they were on a kill and the second was quite brief. We also spotted the dogs on 2 other occasions, but not close enough to get good photographs of them. We got some amazing photographs of the Wild Dogs, and you can see them in our Wild Dogs Gallery.
Always looking for something different, this safari allows you to follow the Wild Dogs both in a vehicle and on foot. There are three packs in the area, and one dog from each pack is collared. this means that they can be located at all times and photography of these elusive subjects should not be difficult.
